The Fort McMurray Boys and Girls Club is a non-profit, charitable organization. The Club has been serving the youth of Fort McMurray and surrounding area since 1981 by providing a safe and fun facility to learn, play, and grow. Expert staff offer guidance, care and mentoring to children from ages 2 to 17. With energy and drive, they seek to ensure that all youth in Fort McMurray have the opportunity to become fulfilled individuals. The Fort McMurray Boys and Girls Club is a positive alternative for kids of all ages.

The Justin Slade Youth Foundation Centre will work to remove barriers by partnering and collaborating with numerous community agencies and resources to promote positive youth action and encourage them to contribute to our community. It is designed to be a safe and non-threatening environment, and to remove youths from the negative elements of the street.

Girls Incorporated’s goal is the Prevention and Intervention of behavioural, social and emotional problems in the young girls aged 6-18, all of whom have these elements of risk in their lives. By providing young girls with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed and by building and promoting a fair and equitable society, we can positively influence the lives of those we serve.

The Stepping Stones Youth Home is an initiative driven by an advisory committee comprised of business, community members, youth, community service agencies and government. The need for a youth home was recognized after a May 2007 survey revealed 65 youth self identified as living on the street, in an unsafe or temporary housing situation or in danger of losing their housing.
