Catch the Spirit of Giving "the United Way"

The United Way of Fort McMurray is holding a brief media conference on Friday, September 5, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. You are encouraged to join us at the United Way office, #207, 9912 Franklin Avenue, Fort McMurray.
 

This is the 30th annual community campaign for the United Way of Fort McMurray and the 2008 goal will be announced next week when the campaign officially kicks off.   The campaign officially runs from September 11 – November 14, 2008.
 

“This area has shown remarkably strong economic and population growth over the past three decades, however, this has also increased the needs for services to support the community”, stated 2008 United Way Campaign Chair Bruce Taylor.  “The generosity of individuals and corporations in Fort McMurray continues to show that we are a very caring community that understands the importance of supporting the agencies providing these hands-on programs”
 

As Fort McMurray grows, the United Way wants to ensure that this is always a community-wide campaign and will rely on our media friends to helps us achieve this success.  Please plan to have a reporter join us to get updates on the campaign; including picking up your media access pass to the “Shoot-Out” events which will allow your reporter admittance to cover those events.
