Join Us As The United Way Campaign Ends Tomorrow!

All media is invited to join us as the thermometer team meets with United Way staff at 9:00 a.m. on Friday morning. They will be discussing how high the thermometer will rise as the final 2008 campaign numbers are posted!

With an aggressive goal of raising $3.95 million dollars, hundreds of volunteers from around the community have been working diligently since the annual campaign kicked off on September 10th. Executive Director Diane Shannon; while remaining very optimistic about reaching the goal, stated, “I am certain that revealing the final percentage will be very exciting, but what I am most excited about is the incredible benefits that we will be able to offer to individuals in the community that don’t always have the same opportunities that many of us take for granted”.

The United Way supports more than 20 agencies with a huge variety of programs that help a cross section of the community including: infants, seniors, teens, young families, the abused, the homeless, and otherwise disadvantaged citizens.
