“Fort McMurray is at the halfway (50%) point in our annual campaign which will wrap up on November 20th.  We crunched a lot of numbers last night and I am very excited that we were able to call the thermometer team and asked them to raise the level to also show that 50% of the 2009 goal has now been raised!” stated Executive Director Diane Shannon.

With over 50 valuable community programs relying on the United Way, there is still some work to be done to get to the goal of $5 million dollars.  While the goal is ambitious, the needs in our community continue to grow and pressures on many member agencies to provide additional services have increased.

Shannon is confident that this great success in the first half of the campaign will continue…
