United Way of Fort McMurray and Wood Buffalo Board of Directors unanimously voted Jordanna Lambert as its new President during a meeting held on July 22nd. Lambert succeeds outgoing President Steve Yatauro, who held the position since 2018.
“I’m excited to take on this new role and further contribute to this organization that is a vital part of the social infrastructure of Wood Buffalo,” said Lambert. “United Way FMWB currently funds 25 agencies and over 40 programs during a period of time when lots of individuals and families need support. We have a fantastic team of Directors who are ready to work with our community partners to positively impact Wood Buffalo.”
Jordanna has over 20 years’ experience in the healthcare field, most recently as a Director of Patient Care with Alberta Health Services.
“Jordanna’s experience in our community and in leadership positions make her a perfect choice to lead the United Way movement in Wood Buffalo,” said Steve Yatauro, Past President. “My tenure as President has allowed me the incredible opportunity of working with a dedicated group of people focused on meeting community needs, and I am confident to hand over leadership to Jordanna’s very capable hands.”
Lambert’s one-year term as President begins immediately. Yatauro will remain on the Board as Past President. The Executive committee is rounded out with Ken Sandmoen as first Vice President, Andrea Hine as Second Vice President, and Dale Mountain as Treasurer.
